Thursday 30th April is Poetry Day Ireland. Celebrate by taking a look at the Winning and Highly Commended poems from the RVEEH & Research Foundation Poetry Competition!
The theme of this year’s Poetry Day is ‘There Will Be Time’ and people were asked to submit their poems under the subject ‘Time’ or ‘The Body’. The Poet Judges Nuala Watt, Summer Meline and Orla Grant-Donoghue had the difficult task of choosing winning poems from over 200 entries across 3 age categories – adults (18+), teens (13-17) and junior (8-12).
The winning poems will be available to view, along with Judge’s comments on the Research Foundation’s website. These will also be available via the Facebook page: ‘RVEEH & Research Foundation Poetry Competition’ where videos of some of the winning entries and audio poems will be uploaded throughout the day.
